Included in this section are "currency like" items such wooden scrip like notes,
store coupons or certificates and advertising notes. Southern advertising notes
are very scarce.
Garland Numbers for Coupons & Certificates
Garland numbers 2500 to 2683 were assigned for Coupons and Certificates
from Chattanooga. These number have have been revised to 1700 - 1883.
The new Garland numbers, starting in version 1.06 of "Chattanooga Money"
numbers are exactly 800 less than the initial numbers. This was done to
accommodate the Tennessee state merchant scrip numbers.
